Writing... again!
I haven't blogged in a long, long time. My last blog post was pre-pandemic. Back in 2019 we didn't even use that word. This morning during my prayer/scripture/contemplation/meditation time I was reading/praying Psalm 46 and the book Spiritual Direction (2006) by Henri Nouwen. I have so much to learn! Henri says that we grow in spiritual depth in our relationship with God through listening, reading, speaking and writing. What? Those are the same four domains that I worked to develop in my students as an ESL teacher. Receptive domains, listening and reading, and productive domains speaking and writing. Yet another way my "previous life" as a K-12/ESL teacher blends into my "current life" as a catalyst/trainer/coach/mentor.
